Bringing in a Biomimicry approach to their checklist, they remind themselves “Our designs are minimalistic and stripped of unnecessary details, just like nature itself.”
The collaboration with Rumpl and Houdini pulled two unique brands together to create a product that ties their two origins. focused on simplicity and circularity while keeping nomads warm and protected, the Recovery blanket utilizes an advanced 2-layer hardshell for protection against elements and abrasion while the reversed side retains heat with PCR Polyester insulation and a 30-denier Face.
This project involved a lot of testing since the materials used in the project were new to Rumpl's line giving me exposure to the more in-depth side of testing and sourcing new materials. Fortunately, the lab dips for the spec'd colors were pretty streamlined due to the colors aligning with our factory's color profiles already set up for the codes we asked them to hit.
